This weekend the capital of Denmark will host BLAST Pro Series: Copenhagen 2019, a CS:GO event that will feature six teams from Europe and North America competing for a $250,000 prize pool.
All six teams that will participate in the event received direct invites from the organizers, among which are Astralis, Cloud9, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Natus Vincere and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
Traditionally for BLAST Pro Series events, the participants will compete in a single group with round-robin format and best-of-one series. Top two teams from the group will advance directly to the best-of-three grand finals series, while the team placed 3rd will select an opponent for a duel showmatch with a separate $20,000 prize pool.
According to GG.Bet’s outright odds, the obvious favourites of the events are Astralis and Team Liquid, currently placed 2nd and 4th in the world ranking respectively. Astralis, the champions of StarLadder Berlin Major 2019, recently participated in two LAN-events – they placed 2nd at ESL One: New York 2019 and 3rd-4th at DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019. As for Team Liquid, who had an incredibly successful summer when they emerged victorious at five major LAN-events – this fall they have had mixed results, placing 3rd-4th at ESL One New York 2019 and 9-12th at DreamHack Masters Malmo 2019. The other team worth mentioning is Natus Vincere, who recently acquired Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács to replace Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko. While the roster has great potential, their resent results were rather disappointing as the team placed 3rd-4th at DreamHack in Malmo and 13-16th at StarSeries Season 8.
