Es3tag to Transfer from Astralis to Cloud9

Astralis have announced that Patrick "es3tag" Hansen will transfer to Cloud9 later this month, after the conclusion of DreamHack Open Fall 2020. CEO of Astralis Group Anders Hørsholt stated that although they are not going to provide specifics around the agreement, the transfer is one of the biggest in the esports history.

Astralis announced their plans to sign es3tag as a sixth player this March, however he joined the team only this July after this contract with Heroic had come to an end. During his time with the team es3tag placed 5-8th at ESL One: Cologne 2020 and won ESL Pro League Season 12 Europe.

As Astralis will have six players on their roster even after the transfer, they do not have plans to look for a new player in the near feature. However, the organization’s long-term goal is to have a “full 2-team roster with 10 players”.

With the addition of es3tag Cloud9 have finalized their new CS:GO roster, which they started building this September.
