ESL Pro League: FaZe Clan and Mousesports to Play in the Finals

The first round of ESL Pro League Season 9 – Europe is halfway through, with mousesports and FaZe Clan placing first in Group A and Group B respectively and securing their place in the international finals.

The first round features four GSL groups with best-of-three series. The winner of each group advances to the international finals, while the teams placed 2nd and 3rd make it to the second round of the European competition. The second round will determine the final four teams that will travel to France to participate in the finals.

Mousesports placed first in Group A after defeating OpTic Gaming (2:1) and outplaying ex-Space Soldiers twice with the 2-0 score. OpTic and North placed second and third respectively, advancing to the next stage of the competition.

In Group B FaZe Clan outplayed devios.one (2:0), Heroic (2:1), and Ninjas in Pyjamas (2:0), securing the first place. Heroic and devils.one placed 2nd and 3rd and will play in the second round.

Group C will feature Fnatic, G2 Esports, Natus Vincere and Windigo Gaming and is scheduled for April 19 – 21st. The matches within Group D will be played on April 23 – 25th, among Group D teams are Astralis, BIG, ex-3DMAX, and HellRaisers.

During the second round eight teams will compete in two GSL groups to determine four participants of the finals.

ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals will take place on June 18 – 23rd in Montpellier, France. Sixteen teams will compete for a $750,000 prize pool.
