Renegades have become the last team to qualify for Intel Extreme Masters XIV – World Championship by winning the Oceanic qualifier, in the grand finals of which they defeated ex-Genuine with the 3-1 score. Earlier in the qualifier they also defeated Airborne E.C., Paradox Gaming and ORDER, all with the 2-0 score.
Earlier the qualifiers concluded in Europe, which will be represented by FaZe Clan, G2 Esports and MID Lions, as well as in North America (Cloud9) and Asia (Vici Gaming). Fnatic, Astralis and mousesports qualified for the event by winning previous ESL Pro Tour events. The following teams received direct invites: 100 Thieves, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Virtus.pro and Team Vitality.
IEM Katowice 2020 will take place on February 25 – Match 1st in Poland. The event’s prize pool is set at $500,000. The tournament is part of ESL Pro Tour and Intel Grand Slam.
