Three American Teams to Travel to Europe for BLAST Premier Fall

The Regular Season of BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 will once again feature teams from both Europe and the Americas competing together. The tournament organizers have agreed with three American teams to bring them to Europe, so the teams from both regions can compete under the same conditions.

Besides that, the tournament’s line-up has undergone several changes. First, FURIA Esports have replaced 100 Thieves, who earlier announced the closure of their CS:GO division. Second, Team Liquid decided to skip the event and instead participate in the tournament’s later Showdown stage. They will be replaced by the German team BIG.

BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Regular Season will be played between October 26th and November 4th, featuring twelve teams competing for a $150,000 prize pool. The teams will play in three GSL groups, with top two teams from each group advancing to the Fall Finals, and the bottom two teams advancing to the Fall Showdown. The groups look as follows:

  • Group 1: Natus Vincere, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Evil Geniuses, OG
  • Group 2: Team Vitality, Complexity, BIG, FaZe Clan
  • Group 3: Astralis, MIBR, FURIA Esports, G2 Esports

The event’s previous season was transitioned to online and split into Europe and American divisions due to the COVID-19 outbreak. This year’s final stage is expected to be held as a LAN.
