The Swedish esports organization Alliance announced the departure of their entire Dota 2 roster. The players, among which are Michael "miCKe" Vu, Max "qojqva" Bröcker, Samuel "Boxi" Svahn, Tommy "Taiga" Le, and Aydin "iNSaNiA" Sarkohi expressed a desire to join another organization and were released from their contracts.
The current roster was built in late 2017 by Jonathan "Loda" Berg, who then switched to the coach position a year later, when the team acquired qojqva. The roster managed to significantly improve their results towards the end of the previous season, when they placed 2nd at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2 and 5-6th at EPICENTER Major, as well as emerged victorious at DOTA Summit 10. Moreover, they managed to qualify for The International 2019, where they placed 13-16th – this was the first time Alliance attended a TI event since 2016.
Jonathan "Loda" Berg will remain in Alliance and continue to build a new roster with the goal of attending the next International, which will be held in Stockholm, Sweden.
