Beyond the Summit have announced the final three participants of their upcoming event DOTA Summit 12 – they are Team Liquid, Cloud9 and Thunder Predator. Next week they will join Evil Geniuses, Fnatic and OG Seed in a competition for $150,000.
The most notable team among the new invitees is Team Liquid, who are currently sitting at the 7th place of Dota Pro Circuit rankings – this season they placed 5-6th at both MDL Chengdu Major and DreamLeague Season 13. Recently, however, the team failed to make it through the closed major/minor qualifier. Although Thunder Predator have not yet participated a single international LAN-event this season, recently the team placed 1st in the South American qualifier for the upcoming major. Cloud9 will perform with a significantly updated roster, which was presented this week and now includes Jacky "EternaLEnVy" Mao, Marcus "Ace" Hoelgaard and Jingjun "Sneyking" Wu.
DOTA Summit 12 is scheduled for March 10-13th and will take place in Los Angeles, United States. First, six teams will compete in a round-robin group stage, then top four teams will advance to the double-elimination playoffs bracket, where the regular series will be best-of-three and the grand finals will be best-of-five.
