The Dota 2 division of the Russian organization Gambit Esports has undergone significant roster changes. The team has changed both support players: Rinat "KingR" Abdullin and Ivan "VANSKOR" Skorokhod have been benched, they will be replaced by Artsiom "fng" Barshack and Alexander "Immersion" Hmelevskoy.
Fng is one of the most experienced captains in the CIS region. In the last few years he has been playing for Team Spirit, with them he placed 3rd at Galaxy Battles II: Emerging Worlds and attended ESL One Birmingham 2018 and China Dota2 Supermajor. This month the roster emerged victorious at the online tournament I Can’t Believe It’s Not Summit!. Earlier Fng played for various prominent CIS organizations, including Vega Squadron, Virtus.pro, and Natus Vincere. Immersion is a new player on the professional scene, for the last six months he has been playing for Espada, with them he placed first at Moscow Championship 2017 and Taurora Invitational #1. Both players have joined Gambit Esportss on loan.
Both KingR and VANSKOR have been playing for the team since its inception in September 2018. During this time the team managed to qualify for The Kuala Lumpur Major, where they placed 13-16th, as well as secure spots at the upcoming events The Bucharest Minor and ESL One Katowice 2019. According to the official statement, the players will remain in organization and will participate in team’s training process and media activities.
