Gambit Esports have qualified for EPICENTER Major 2019 by placing first in the group stage of the CIS closed qualifier. Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, Winstrike Team and Team Empire will compete for the second ticket to the major.
Based on the results of the group stage, Black Hornets Gaming, Team Spirit and FlyToMoon have been eliminated from the competition. Three teams – Gambit Esports, Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro – finished the group stage with score of 6-1, so there were tiebreakers for the first place during which Gambit outplayed both Na`Vi and VP and qualified for the main event.

The remaining four teams will play in a double-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five grand finals. Today, on May 17th, Natus Vincere will face Team Empire (11:00 AM BST), while Winstrike Team will compete with Virtus.pro (14:00 PM BST).
EPICENTER 2019 is the last major tournament of the current season that will be held on June 22nd – 30rd at CSKA Arena in Moscow, Russia. Sixteen teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 DPC points.
