This weekend the Ukrainian capital will host the third minor tournament of Dota Pro Circuit 2019/2020 – StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 3, which will feature eight teams competing for $300,000, 660 DPC points and a ticket to ESL One Los Angeles 2020.
The tournament will begin on March 5th with the group stage, which will last for two days. BOOM Esports, business associates, forZe and Team Aster will compete in Group A, while Group B will see Alliance, CR4ZY, Gambit Esports and NoPing e-sports. The teams will compete with a GSL format, where all series will be best-of-three. The pairs for the opening matches, with all of them being played on March 5th, look as follows (UK Time):
The playoffs stage will be played on March 7th-8th. Top four teams from the group stage will compete in a double-elimination bracket, where all regular series will be best-of-three and the grand finals will be best-of-five.
According to GG.Bet’s outright odds, the main favourites of the tournament are Alliance, which comes as no surprise considering the results of the Swedish team in this season – currently the team is placed 6th in the Dota Pro Circuit rankings, as recently they placed 4th at both DreamLeague Season 13 and ONE Esports Invitational Singapore. Team Aster and Gambit Esports also have high chances to win, as both of them have had a relatively strong presence at LAN-events – Team Aster attended both previous majors, placing 9-12th at both of them, while Gambit Esports recently got “bronze” at ONE Esports Invitational Singapore and finished 4th at WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020.
