Team Liquid has returned to the professional Dota 2 scene by signing a European roster, which previously was part of the Swedish organization Alliance. The team will perform for the first time under the new banners during the European qualifier for MDL Chengdu Major.
The roster left Alliance week ago, soon after placing 13-16th at The International 2019. It was found in 2017 by Alliance co-owner and TI3 winner Jonathan "Loda" Berg, who for the last twelve months has been coaching the team. Last season they managed to place 11th in the Dota Pro Circuit rankings, securing their direct invite to TI9. During the season they placed 9-12th at PGL Kuala Lumpur Major, 13-16th at Chongqing Major, 3rd at OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019, 2nd at StarLadder Minor Season 2 and 5-6th at EPICENTER Major.
The previous Dota 2 roster of Team Liquid was released last month. The future of TI7 champions currently remains unknown.
