Belarus Esports Federation has shared an email from a member of the Valve team, which suggests that The International 11 is currently planned for 2022. Earlier the country made an application to host The International 2021. Valve have not commented on the issue.
The news suggests that The International 10 will indeed be held next year. The event was initially planned to take place in Stockholm, Sweden on August 18th – 23rd. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was indefinitely postponed, with Valve stating that it is possible that the event will be held next year.
Battle Pass for the upcoming The International was released on May 25th. Since then the tournament’s prize pool has increased from $1,600,000 to over $28,680,000, significantly outpacing previous years.
