This weekend concluded the first minor tournament of Dota Pro Circuit 2018 – 2019. DreamLeague Season 10 determined the last team that will travel to the capital of Malaysia this week to participate in The Kuala Lumpur Major.
In the grand finals of DreamLeague S10 Tigers defeated Natus Vincere with the 3-2 score. Earlier they outplayed Royal Never Give Up (2:1) in the semifinals and Natus Vincere (2:1) in the quarterfinals. In the group stage they placed first in Group B after defeating ROOONS (2:0) and Royal Never Give Up (2:1). On the other hand, Natus Vincere qualified for the playoffs from the second place in Group A, and after losing in the first round they managed to make it to the finals all the way through the lower bracket.
The event was held from October 29th – November 4th at Monster Energy DreamHack Studious in Stockholm, Sweden. The prize pool of the event was set at $300,000, the teams also competed for the last slot at The Kuala Lumpur Major as well as for 500 Pro Circuit Points. During the group stage eight teams competed in two GSL groups with best-of-three series, determining the teams’ placements in the playoffs bracket. The playoffs stage featured a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five grand finals.
The Kuala Lumpur Major will take place on November 9th – 19th in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Sixteen teams will compete for their share of a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 Pro Circuit Points. The last three days of the event will be played in front of a live crowd at Axiata Arena.
