TNC Predator Defeat Gambit Esports in the Finals of ESL One Hamburg 2019

ESL One Hamburg 2019 has concluded with TNC Predator defeating Gambit Esports in the event’s grand finals, securing $125,000 in prize money. The runner-ups received $65,000.

Both TNC Predator and Gambit Esports advanced to the playoffs stage from Group B, where they placed 1st and 2nd respectively. In the playoffs stage TNC Predator defeated Alliance (2-0) and Gambit (2-0) in the upper bracket, while Gambit Esports outplayed Vici Gaming in the opening match and after dropping to the lower bracket managed to beat Alliance (2-1). The final series concluded with the 3-2 score in favour of the Asian team.

The tournament was held on October 22nd-27th at Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany. First, 12 teams competed in two GSL groups. Then top two teams from each group advanced to the upper bracket, while the teams placed 3rd-4th made it to the lower bracket. All regular playoff matches were best-of-three, while the grand final was best-of-five.
