The Russian esports organization Vega Squadron has decided to disband their European Dota 2 roster due to unsatisfactory results. Earlier last week the team parted wayswith Verros "Maybe Next Time" Apostolos.
The organization explained their decision to disband the team by being unsatisfied with its results. They stressed that the goal was to be represented at LAN-events, while the only LAN-event the team attended was DreamLeague Minor, where they replaced Team Liquid who refused to participate in the event. To qualify for events the team had to win such teams as Team Secret, Team Liquid,OG and Ninjas in Pyjamas, however it was beyond the team’s power.
The roster, which previously played under the Team Lithium name, was signed by Vega Squadron last October. The team placed 5-6th at DreamLeague Season 10, 5-6th at I Can’t Believe It’s Not Summit, 5-8th at WePlay! Dota 2 Winter Madness, and 9-12th at WePlay! Dota 2 Valentine Madness. It remains unknown whether the players will continue to play together.
