Virtus.pro have announced their complete Dota 2 roster that will take part in the qualifiers for the first major/minor event. Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko and Alexey "Solo" Berezin are the only members of the TI9 squad that retained their place in the roster. The new members of the team are Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok, Egor "epileptick1d" Grigorenko and Vitalie "Save-" Melnic.
Although Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok, a 23-years-old player from Ukraine, is mainly known as a carry player, he will transition to the third position. The Ukrainian player left the CIS Dota 2 scene in 2016 to join Digital Chaos, a North American team which later placed second at The International 2016. For the last three years he was playing for NA rosters VGJ.Storm, Forward Gaming and J.Storm.
The team’s new carry Egor "epileptick1d" Grigorenko is a 17-years-old player from Russia, who is new to the pro scene but is known as a strong pub player which is currently placed first among carry players in the MMR rating.
While Resolut1ion and epileptick1d have signed contracts with the organization, the final member of the roster – Vitalie "Save-" Melnic – has joined the team for a trial period. He is a 18-years-old Moldavian player, will play as semi-support, and started to play professionally this year – last season he played for FlyToMoon, with them participated in the CIS closed qualifiers for EPICENTER Major and in multiple open qualifiers.
As per previous announcements, this roster was formed by both Solo and No[o]ne, just as they did in 2016.
