League of Legends 2019 World Championship: Results of the Play-In Stage

The Play-In Stage of League of Legends 2019 World Championship has concluded, with DAMWON Gaming, Clutch Gaming, Hong Kong Attitude and Splyce qualifying for the group stage, which begins already this weekend.

The Play-In Stage was split into two rounds, both played at LEC Studio in Berlin, Germany. During the first round, sixteen teams competed in four groups with double round robin format and best-of-one series. Top two teams from each group advanced to the next round.

The second round featured eight teams competing in best-of-five series, the winner of each match secured their spot in the group stage.

Play-In Round 2 Results:

The Group Stage is scheduled for October 12-15th and 17-20th and will be held at Verti Music Hall in Berlin, Germany. It will feature sixteen teams, among which four are from the Play-In Stage and the rest are representatives of all regions, will compete in four groups with double round robin format and bo1 series. Top two teams from each group will advance to the final Knockout Stage.

The Knockout Stage will be played in two cities – the majority of the series will be played on October 25-27th and November 2nd-3rd at Palacio Vistalegre in Madrid, Spain, while the grand finals will be held on November 10th at Accorhotels Arena in Paris, France. The stage will feature eight best teams competing in a single-elimination bracket with best-of-five series.
