The Ukrainian esports club Natus Vincere has decided to close their Fortnite roster. The team’s manager Mykhailo Palamar stated that this decision was made due to unprofitability of the title.
In their official statement the management of Natus Vincere explained that Epic Games, the publisher of Fortnite, does not provide support to esports organization and heavily restricts participants of their event in their sponsor partnerships. As a result, the organization found it was unprofitable to have a Fortnite roster despite huge prize pools.
Na`Vi’s Fortnite team consisted of Levi "LnueF" Edelijn and Quinten "Quinten" van der Zijpp, who joined the organization this July. These players managed to qualify for Fortnite World Cup, where they placed 44th and secured $100,000 in prize money.
Natus Vincere is a Ukrainian esports club found in 2009. The organization is mostly known for their Dota 2 and CS:GO rosters, however it also has rosters in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Apex Legends, Paladins and Rainbow Six: Siege.
