StarLadder, the host of PUBG Europe League, has revealed six teams that were directly invited to the first phase of the league. Among these teams are Natus Vincere, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Pittsburgh Knights and Team Vitality.
The first phase of PUBG Europe League is supposed to be held over 8 weeks somewhere between January and March of the next year. Besides the invited teams, the tournament’s line-up will include 10 teams from the closed LAN qualifiers. The closed qualifiers will be held on December 10-16 and feature 30 teams, among which 10 team received direct invites, and the other 20 teams made it through the open qualifiers in three sub-regions: Middle East & Africa, Europe West and Europe East.
PUBG Europe League will be held in three phases: the second phase will take place on May – June, while the final third phase is scheduled to be held between August and October. In addition to that, there is also a Contenders League for tier-two teams, that will also be held in three stages. The overall prize pool of PUBG Europe League and Contenders League is set at €1,000,000. The best teams of PEL will be invited to the Global Championship with a $2,000,000 prize pool.
PUBG Europe League is one of the professional regional leagues that will begin next year. The local tournaments will also be held in North America, China, Korea, South East Asia, Latin America, Oceania, Taiwan, Japan.
