It has been announced that this August the South Korea capital Seoul will host a PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds LAN-event PUBG Nations Cup that will pit sixteen national teams in a competition for the $500,000 prize pool.
The event is scheduled for August 9-11th and will take place at Jangchung Arena which can fit up to 4,500 viewers. The tournament’s line-up will include the following national teams that will consist of best players picked by peers: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, Germany, Japan, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam, and Taipei. The tournament points will be awarded for both placements and kills.
This summer there will be another two major PUBG global events: GLL Grand Slam and MET Asia Series. The first one will take place on July 19-21st in Stockholm, Sweden and will feature 16 best western teams. The second one will be held on July 26-28th in Bangkok, Thailand, the event’s line-up will include 16 best eastern teams. Both of them will feature a $300,000 prize pool.
