The main event of 2019 WCS Global Finals begins already in two days with the group stage, where sixteen best StarCraft II players of the globe will start the competition for their share of the $700,000 prize pool.
The group stage will have four groups, each consisting of two players from WCS Korea and two players from WCS Circuit. The competition will follow a dual tournament format, where all series will be best-of-five. The players have been seeded into the groups as follows:

Based on the results of the group stage, top two players from each group will advance to the playoffs stage, which will be held on November 1st-2nd. The final stage will feature a single-elimination bracket with regular matches being best-of-five and the grand finals being best-of-seven. The winner of the event will secure $210,000 in prize money, while the runner-up will get $96,000.
