RIOT Games have revealed the release date for their first-person shooter VALORANT. The game will become available in most regions on June 2nd. Initially the game was supposed to be launched somewhere during the summer.
The release version of the game will include some improvements and new features. Among them is an auto-banning system for cheaters, while earlier the cheaters had to be blocked manually. Besides that, the developers will introduce automated chat analysis and reports analysis to combat behaviour violations – those who break the rules will be restricted from using voice or text chat for 72 hours. In order to improve latency, the developers are going to deploy new servers in Warsaw, Madrid, London, Atlanta, and Dallas.
In the first few months after the release the game will receive new game modes, agents, skins and more. They are also not satisfied with ping in Colombia, Argentina and Eastern Europe, and are looking for ways to improve it.
Beta testing of VALORANT started on April 7th in most regions. According to the games executive producer Anna Dolton, the average daily online during the beta stage reached 3 million users. The testing stage will end on May 28th, five days before the game’s release.
