The Russian esports powerhouse Virtus.pro has announced that two Artifact players – Artem "DrHippi" Kravets and Maria "Harleen" Kobzar – are no longer part of the organization. Ole "Naiman" Batyrbekov will continue to represent the organization in the Valve’s trading card game.
The decision to reduce the organization’s presence in Artifact comes as a result of the game’s failed launch: the game was released last December, since then the number of peak players has decreased from 46,500 to 1,800.
Virtus.pro was one of the first organizations to open Artifact division. They closed their Hearthstone division and proposed their players to transfer to the new discipline.
