EternalEnvy, UNiVeRsE and Pieliedie Left Fnatic

A few days ago Fnatic announced drastic changes in their Dota 2 roster: Jacky ”EternaLEnVy” Mao, Saahil "UNiVeRsE" Arora and Johan ” pieliedie” Åström left the team after disappointing results at The International 2018. In addition to that, the team lost its coach Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling who recently joined the ex-VGJ.Storm roster.

Fnatic’s roster for the previous season was formed during the post-TI7 reshuffle and initially included Jacky ”EternaLEnVy” Mao, Steve "Excalibur" Ye, Khoo "Ohaiyo" Chong Xin, Djardel ”DJ” Mampusti and Johan ” pieliedie” Åström. Later in November Steve "Excalibur" Ye was replaced by Abed ”Abed” Yusop, while Adam ”343” Shah joined the team as a coach. In January Saahil "UNiVeRsE" Arora joined the roster to take place of Khoo "Ohaiyo" Chong Xin. In May Adam ”343” Shah left the team, he was replaced by Kurtis "Aui_2000" Ling.

The team finished the DPC season at the 12th place with 1265 points. Fourth place at ESL One Katowice 2018, 2nd place at DreamLeague Season 9, 4th place at ESL One Birmingham 2018 and 2nd places at both DOTA Summit 8 and DOTA Summit 9 are among their biggest achievement throughout the season. The team qualified for The International 2018 through the closed SEA qualifier. At TI8 Fnatic finished the group stage with the score of 7-9, making it to the lower bracket. In playoffs the team lost its very first match versus Team Serenity, placing 13-16th at the world championship.
