PUBG Update 8.2 Introduces MG3 and Decoy Grenade

PUBG Corp. have released Update 8.2 for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which is currently available on the test server and will be released on live servers on August 19th. The biggest features of the update are a new weapon MG3 and a new throwable Decoy Grenade.

MG3 is a light machine gun available in Care Packages. The weapon has two firing modes – slower but more accurate 660 rpm and faster but hectic 990 rpm. To improve weapon stability, players can deploy an attached bipod by going prone. Besides that, the weapon fires tracer rounds every fifth round, to make it easier to aim. MG3 uses 7.62mm ammo, holds 75 rounds and supports scopes up to 6x.

Decoy Grenades mimic fire sounds for about 10 seconds. They can be found only on Sanhok as a world spawn. The grenades are not waterproof, so they will not activate when thrown in water. Just as other throwables, can be cooked to reduce the detonation time. Both MG3 and Decoy Grenades are currently available only in Normal Matches.

Besides that, the update adds vehicle damage multipliers to LMGs, improves throwables wheel menu, adds new docks locations to Erangel and more. The full list of changes is available on the official website.
