Team Liquid Defeat Virtus.pro to Become Supermajor Champions

The final event of the first iteration of Dota Pro Circuit has concluded with the victory of the current world champions Team Liquid. In the grand finals of the $1,500,000 tournament they defeated the leaders of the DPC rankings Virtus.pro with the 3-2 score, receiving $555,000 in prize money and 1,125 qualification points.

China Dota2 Supermajor was held June 2-10 in Shanghai, China. Being the last event of the current DPC season, it featured an increased prize pool and amount of qualification points – $1,500,000 and 2,250 respectively. First sixteen teams were seeded into four GSL groups with best-of-three series. Then top two teams from each group advanced to the playoffs stage, in which competed in a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five grand finals. The results of the tournament are presented below.
