Astralis Replace JUGi with Bubzkji

Jakob "JUGi" Hansen, who joined Astralis just two months ago, is already out of the team. His place in the roster has been taken by Lucas "Bubzkji" Andersen, a former member of MAD Lions.

JUGi joined the team in May as a seventh player and had a change to participate in two events with the team – BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Showdown and DreamHack Masters Spring 2020: Europe, where the team placed 7-8th and 9-12th respectively. The team’s management explained that while JUGi is an extremely skilled player “under the right condition”, he did not have a chance to play in his favorite position, and with things not changing in the near future, they decided to let the player go.

Bubzkji is a 22-years-old player from Denmark, who for the last seven months had been playing for MAD Lions – with them he emerged victorious at Flashpoint Season 1, as well as finished 2nd at GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2020, DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 and DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019. Earlier he also played for Tricked Esports and Fragsters. According to the official statement, the player signed a 2-year contract with Astralis.

Currently the team is on vacation, however they will start their bootcamp already next week. With Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth and Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander being on leave, Bubzkji is expected to debut with the team at ESL One: Cologne 2020 Online – Europe, which will be played between August 18th – 30th.
