ESL and DreamHack have teamed up to launch a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive open league which will include over 20 events in 2020 with a total prize pool over $5,000,000.
The events will be split into two categories. The most prestigious events will fall into the Masters category, among which will be Intel Extreme Masters, DreamHack Masters, ESL Pro League, and ESL One events. The prize pools of Masters events will exceed $250,000. Besides that, these events count towards Intel Grand Slam victories. The second tier of the events will be called Challengers and include the following events: Mountain Dew League, DreamHack Open, and National Championship.
All ESL Pro Tour events will have a connected ranting system that will determine who will participate in two Master Championship events – IEM Katowice and ESL One Cologne. The ranking will take into account ESL Pro Tour events as well as Valve majors.
