FLASHPOINT Postpones Matches and Transitions to Online

The organizers of FLASHPOINT Season 1 have decided to transition their league to online due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. The matches will resume when the teams will be ready to compete remotely from their home sites, which should be aligned with competitive standards.

The tournament, which features a $1,000,000 prize pool, started on March 13th and was played on FACEIT Studio in Los Angeles, USA. It started with a group stage, where 12 teams competed in three GSL groups with best-of-three series. Each team had the time to play only one match. Initially the tournament was scheduled to end on April 19th, however now the event’s schedule is likely to drastically change.

Earlier ESL also transitioned ESL Pro League Season 11 to online and reintroduced regional divisions on the same grounds.
