The regular season of ESL Pro League 11, which was initially set to be held in Malta, will now be played online due to the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 and according travel restrictions. Besides that, the final phase of the event has been moved from Denver, United States to a studio in Europe without live audience.
The online part of the competition will be played March 16th – April 4th and will feature 24 teams competing for a $400,000 prize pool and 12 tickets to the finals. The final stage is scheduled for April 6th-12th, it’s prize pool is set at $350,000.
Earlier ESL had to close their CS:GO event IEM Katowice 2020 to live audience as well as postpone their Dota 2 major ESL One Los Angeles.
