LEC Returns This Week and will be Played Online

RIOT Games have announced that League of Legends European Championship (LEC) will resume this Friday, March 20th. All remaining matches of the Spring Split will be played online.

The majority of the teams will compete from their facilities in Berlin, Germany. The only exception is Origen, who will play from their bootcamp in Copenhagen, Denmark. RIOT Games have decided to not send referees to watch over the teams, however the organizers will use video and audio monitoring to ensure the integrity of the competition.

The organizers have also decided to remove the planned break week, which means that the teams will compete each week up until the final stage, which is expected to be played on April 18-19th.

Earlier RIOT Games transitioned the Chinese league LPL to be played online as well as postponed Mid-Season Invitational 2020.
