RIOT Games Postpone MSI 2020

RIOT Games have decided to postpone Mid-Season Invitational 2020. The event, which initially was scheduled for May, now will be held between July 3rd and July 19th. Location and other details of the event remain unknown.

Besides that, the company has moved the start dates for the Summer Split of the regional leagues, which now will begin on:

  • OPL - May 15th
  • VCS - May 15th
  • LCS - May 16th
  • TCL - May 16th
  • LCK - May 20th
  • LEC - May 22nd
  • CBLOL - May 23rd
  • LPL - May 23rd
  • PCS - May 30th
  • LLA - May 30th
  • LJL - May 31st
  • LCL - June 6th

Additionally, the organizers concluded to put an end to the Rift Rivals series, hence these tournaments were disrupting the annual schedule.

Earlier RIOT Games suspended LCK Spring 2020 due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), while the Chinese league LPL is now being played online.
