GG.Bet Birmingham Invitational: Alliance and Gambit Advanced to Playoffs

The first day of an online Dota 2 event GG.Bet Birmingham Invitational has determined two participants of the playoffs stage – Alliance and Gambit Esports placed first in their groups, advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

Alliance managed to place first in Group A without losing a single map – the Swedish team outplayed Old but Gold (1:0) and The Pango (2:0). As for Gambit Esports, they placed first in Group B after defeating The Final Tribe (1-0) and Team Empire (2:1).

Today we will witness two elimination matches – Old But Gold will play with Natus Vincere (15:00 BTS) in Group A, while Black Hornets Gaming will face The Final Tribe (18:00 BTS) in the Group B losers’ match. The Pango and Team Empire are awaiting their opponents for the decider matches, which will be played tomorrow, on April 11th.

GG.Bet Birmingham Invitational is being held over April 8th – 13th. The winner of the event will qualify for ESL One Birmingham, while the runner-up will receive $5,000 in prize money. The official broadcast can be found on the Maincast channel.
