Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Western Clash #1

The online leagues in both North America and Europe have determined the participants of the upcoming Western Clash LAN-event in Katowice, Poland.

Western Clash is the first LAN-event of the 2018 season of Heroes of the Storm Global Championship 2018 (HGC), which will take place at Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland on March 2-4. The list of participants was determined by the results of the North American and European online leagues: top four NA and EU teams qualified for the LAN-event. This time North America will be represented by Tempo Storm, Team Twelve, Team Freedom and HeroesHearth, while Team Dignitas, Fnatic, Method and Zealots made it from the EU region.

The prize pool of the tournament is set at $100,000, the winner will also unlock an additional spot for their region in the Mid-Season Brawl. The competition will be held in a double-elimination format, with quarterfinals and loser’s round 1 being best-of-three and all other regular matches being best-of-five. In the grand finals the team from the winners’ bracket will have a one-game advantage, the series will be played in best-of-seven format.
