Prize Pool of The International 2018 Surpasses the Last Year's Mark

The prize pool of the main Dota 2 event of the season The International 2018 has surpassed the last year’s mark, becoming the largest prize pool in the history of esports. Currently it exceeds $24,800,000.

Traditionally Valve provides $1,600,000 for the base prize pool for every TI event, with 25% of Battle Pass sales going towards the prize pool. After 103 days of Battle Pass sales, the prize pool increased by ~$23,200,000, and currently exceeds $24,800,000. There are still five days left to even further increase the prize pool.

This makes The International 2018 the biggest prize pool event in the history of esports.
