PUBG: Esports Roadmap for 2019
The publishers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds have revealed the esports roadmap for 2019. This year we will see four major LAN-events, with one of them being PUBG Global Championship. The first major event will take place in April and will be held by FACEIT.
The first major event – FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic – will begin on April 16. It will take place in London and feature a $400,000 prize pool. The tournament’s line-up will consist of 24 teams from each competitive region.
Both second and third global event will be held after Phase 2. One of them will be held in Europe and will see teams from North America, Europe, Oceania, and Latin America. The other one will take place in Asian region and will see teams from China, Korea, Southeast Asia, Chinese Taipei/Hong Kong/Macau, and Japan. The season will be concluded with PUBG Global Championship, which is scheduled for the end of the year.
