Team Empire: Yoky- Replaces Vanskor

Team Empire are making yet another change to their Dota 2 roster – a month after signing contract with Airat "Silent" Gaziev, one of the most experienced carry players in the region, the management of the team decides to replace Ivan "VANSKOR" Skorokhod with Maxim "yoky-" Kim, who is well-known for being an extremely skilled player.

Yoky- joins the roster as a support player and will play on the fourth position, which is new for him – previously he played as mid-player, as carry and as offlaner, but never as a support. It also means that Miposhka will transition back the full-support role and will captain the team again.

Yoky- started his career in 2014 and have had a chance to play for various CIS teams, including HellRaisers, Team Empire, Virtus.pro, Spartak Esports and others. In the last few months he’s been playing with Team Empire as a stand-in, together they placed second at CIS-qualifiers for Galaxy Battles II and ESL One Genting, as well as managed to qualify for StarLadder i-League Invitational #4.

Alexander "StrangeR" Solomonov, Esports Director of Team Empire, commented on the changes:

“Maxim is on the most talented players in CIS scene. While he was playing on a different positions Maxim has always showed stable performance which proofs his high level. He has a very responsible task — playing on a position 4. I am sure that not only Maxim will pass that test but that he will become the best in his new role. Also I wish Ivan to find "his" team where he can perform at his highest level. I am sure his main achievements are waiting for him in future”.

Vanksor joined Team Empire in September as a result of the post-TI shuffle, replacing RodjER, who left the team to join Natus Vincere. Under his leadership the team managed to win at ROG Masters 2017, as well as place second at WCA 2017 Europe Finals. The player already stated on Twitter that he will be looking for a new team.
