Virtus.pro Won’t Attend MDL Changsha, They Will be Replaced by Mineski
One of the strongest Dota 2 teams and the leader of Dota Pro Circuit rankings Virtus.pro announced that they will not take part in the upcoming major tournament MDL Changsha, to which they were invited, due to tight schedule. Their place at the event will be taken by Mineski, who recently emerged victorious at Dota 2 Asia Championship 2018.
MDL Changsha is a major tournament, which will take place on May 14-20 in Changsha, China. The competition will feature 12 teams, four of which received direct invites: Mineski, Newbee, Team Secret and Vici Gaming. The other teams will be decided by regional qualifiers: four Chinese teams will qualify from DPL Top Season 5, while each other region received only one spot. The qualifier in Southeast Asia has not completed yet, but all other regional representatives have been already set: VGJ.Storm will represent North America, Infamous qualified from South America, OG managed to win the European qualifier, while CIS will be represented by Vega Squadron. These teams will compete for their share of a $1,000,000 prize pool and 1500 qualification points.
