Games Clash Series Suspended

The Polish tournament operator Games Clash has announced that their two Counter-Strike: Global Offensive events – Games Clash Arena 2020 and Games Clash Masters 2020 – were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The tournaments might be held when “the threat is over”.

The company announced Games Clash Series this February, the series was expected to include two CS:GO events with each of them featuring a $100,000 prize pool. Games Clash Arena 2020 was scheduled to be held on June 5-7th in Gliwice, Poland, while Games Clash Masters 2020 was expected to be played in another Polish city, Gdynia on September 11-13th.

Earlier the company organized two Games Clash Masters events – in 2018 and in 2019, both of them were held at Gdynia Arena. In the grand finals of the latter event Illuminar Gaming outplayed Sprout (3-0), claiming $50,000 in prize money.

Earlier a number of CS:GO LAN-events were transitioned to online, including ESL Pro League Season 11, BLAST Premier: Spring 2020, and FLASHPOINT Season 1, while ESL One Rio 2020 was postponed to November.
