QO Decided to Take a Break, Leaving Immortals Without a Carry Player
Kim "QO" Seon-yeop announced on his Facebook account that he will take a break from competitive Dota 2, leaving his previous team – Immortals – without a carry player.
QO commented on his decision:
I will be taking break to redeem myself/work on different category. Thanks immortals for providing everything that we need, felt like I had to take break after mvp ti6 all my energy were burnt out towards dota, game wasn’t too much enjoyable for me. I will be back to dota if I find passion about the game and I feel myself is valuable. Sorry to all the fans cheering for me, hope i can come back in a good shape!! Thanks~
QO started his career in 2013. He joined the South Korean squad MVP.Phoenix at the beginning of 2014, together they placed 7-8th at The International 2015, 4th at The Shanghai Major 2016, and 5-6th at both The Manila Major 2016 and The International 2016. The team got disbanded after TI6, but was reunited in September 2017 as Team Pheonix, shortly after becoming a part of the North American organization Immortals. In the new season the Koreans managed to visit two Dota Pro Circuit events – PGL Open Bucharest and AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League, where they placed 3-4th and 7-8th accordingly. Unfortunately, the team failed to qualify for any other tournament, and just a few weeks ago the team parted ways with its offlaner Lee "Forev" Sang-don, who was later replaced by Arif "MSS" Anwar (ex-Digital Chaos).
