Closed Qualifiers for MDL Chengdu Major Are Around the Corner
The closed qualifiers for the first major Dota 2 event of the season MDL Chengdu Major will begin the day after tomorrow, on October 5th, and the organizers have already confirmed the teams that received direct invites.
The qualifiers in all six regions will be played on October 5-7th. The list of participating teams looks as follows:

For the first time in the Dota 2 history the qualifiers will determine the participants of both the corresponding major and minor events. The qualifier will be split into three phases. Phase 1 will feature two bo2 groups of 5 teams. Top two teams from each group will advance to the second phase, while teams placed 3rd/3rd-4th will play in the third phase. Phase 2 will feature a double elimination bracket for four teams; top 2-3 will qualify for the major, while the losers will advance to the third phase. Phase 3 will again feature a 4 team double elimination bracket, with top 1-2 qualifying for the minor event.
MDL Chengdu Major will take place on November 16-24th and feature 16 teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool and 15,000 DPC points. While 15 participants of the major will be determined by the results of the regional qualifiers, the final participant will be the winner of the minor event DOTA Summit 11 scheduled for November 7-10th.
