Tundra Dominates Team Yandex to Claim Fourth Straight BLAST Slam
Tundra confidently secured the BLAST Slam 5 championship, leaving Team Yandex without a chance in the grand final. The series ended 3:0, with each map firmly controlled by the eventual winners.
The first map lasted 52 minutes and ended 43:25, the second went on for 49 minutes (39:21), and the third was the fastest — 39 minutes with a score of 38:16. Dominant play throughout the entire match allowed Tundra to claim yet another clean sweep in a final.
The Tundra roster features Pure, Bzm, 33, Ari, and Whitemon, led by coach Moonmeander. Their opponents in the final — Watson, Chira_Junior, Noticed, Saksa, and Malady coached by Accell — were unable to establish an equal fight despite several attempts to shift the momentum.
This victory marks Tundra’s fourth BLAST Slam title in a row. The team earned $400,000 for first place, while Team Yandex took home $200,000 for finishing second. For Pure, this is already the second trophy with the roster, having previously won BLAST Slam 4 in November. BLAST Slam 5 ran from November 25 to December 7 with a total prize pool of $1 million.
