FaZe Clan Defeats Natus Vincere in the EPICENTER 2018 Finals

EPICENTER 2018 has concluded with FaZe Clan defeating Natus Vincere in the grand finals of the event with the score of 2-0. The European team received $150,000 in prize money.

The event was held on October 23rd – 28th and featured eight teams competing for a $295,000 prize pool. First, the participants were seeded into two GSL groups with best-of-three series, with winners of each group advancing to the semifinals, while the other teams made it to the quarterfinals. The playoffs stage featured a single-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three.

Both FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere started the competition in Group A, where in the opening matches Na`Vi defeated HellRaisers (2:1) and FaZe outplayed ENCE (2:1). In the winner’s match Na`Vi defeated FaZe (2:0).

As FaZe Clan placed second in Group A, they started the playoffs stage from the quarterfinals, where they defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas (2:0), later proceeding to outplaying Team Liquid in the semifinals with the same score. Meanwhile in the semifinals of the other part of the bracket Natus Vincere defeated AVANGAR (2:0). The final series concluded with the 2-0 score in favour of FaZe Clan – the European squad emerged victorious at both Mirage (16:12) and Dust II (16:3).
