The League of Legends team G2 Esports, that placed 3rd – 4th at 2018 World Championship, has undergone significant changes. Petter "Hjarnan" Freyschuss and Kim "Wadid" Bae-in have left the team. Rasmus "Caps" Borregaard Winther and Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle have become the team’s newest members.

Caps is a 19-years-old player from Denmark, who joined the team as a mid player. The last year and a half he has been playing for Fnatic. With them, he secured top placements on multiple premier events, including the first places at EU LCS Regional Finals 2017, EL LCS Spring 2018, Rift Rivals 2018: NA vs EU and EU LCS Summer 2018. Luka "PerkZ" Perković, who used to play on the middle lane, will be moved to the AD carry position. Mikyx, the team’s 20-years-old new support player from Slovenia, previously played for Misfits and Splyce.

Both Hjarnan and Wadid have been playing for G2 Esports since January 2017. During this time the team placed 2nd at EU LCS Spring 2018, 1st at Rift Rivals 2018: NA vs EU, 5-6th at EU LCS Summer 2018 and 3-4th at 2018 World Championship.
