Gambit Esports and Forward Gaming Qualified to OGA Dota PIT Minor

The regional qualifiers for OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 have completed in CIS and North America, determining first two participants of the minor. Gambit Esports managed to defeat Old but Gold in the grand finals of the CIS qualifiers, while Forward Gaming placed first in North America after defeating J.Storm.

Both qualifiers shared the same format: eight teams competed in a single-elimination bracket with all matches being best-of-three.

In the CIS qualifiers Gambit Esports defeated Pavaga Junior (2-0) in the quarterfinals and Natus Vincere (2-0) in the semifinals. They faced Old but Gold in the grand finals: the team lost the first map, but then managed to bounce back and win two maps in a row.

Forward Gaming participated in the qualifiers with updated roster. They managed to win the qualifiers without losing a single map – the team outplayed 4Fats n 10ld in the quarterfinals, gg and gg in the semifinals and J.Storm in the grand finals.

OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 will be held over April 22nd – 28th at Spaladium Arena in Split, Croatia. Eight teams will compete for a single ticket to MDL Disneyland Paris Major, $300,000 of prize money and 500 qualification points.
