Gen.G Gold Wins the Third-Person Segment of PUBG Global Invitational 2018
The first half of the ongoing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds world championship PGI 2018 has completed. In the third-person segment of the competition the Korean squad Gen.G Gold topped the overall standings with 3305 points, receiving $420,000 in prize money.
The competition lasted for two days, each featured four games played on Erangel. The teams received tournament points for both final placements and number of kills. Gen.G Gold managed to win two games and score the highest amounts of points – 3305. Team Liquid placed second with also 2 victories but only 2635 points, the third place was secured by Welcome to South Georgo with 2 wins and 2595 points.

Today Mercedes-Benz Arena will host Charity Showdown – a charity event with 20 teams, each consisting of 2 pros and 2 streamers. The prize pool is set at $1,000,000, the teams will donate their winnings to a charity of their choice.
The main competition will continue tomorrow, on July 28th. The teams will compete in eight matches with first-person perspective. During the second segment of the event, the games will be played on both Erangel and Miramar.
