Team Secret Are the Winners of ESL One Birmingham 2019

Team Secret have emerged victorious at ESL One Birmingham 2019 after defeating Evil Geniuses (3:2) in the grand finals of the $300,000 event. The team’s captain Clement "Puppey" Ivanov has been awarded the MVP medal and a €50,000 certificate that can be used to purchase a Mercedes-Benz.

Team Secret placed 3rd in Group B, thus starting their way through playoffs stage in the lower bracket. There they defeated OG (2:0), TNC Predator (2:1), Gambit Esports (2:0), and PSG.LGD (2:1). Their opponents – Evil Geniuses – qualified to upper bracket from Group B first place. In the playoffs the North American team outplayed TNC Predator (2:1) and PSG.LGD (2:0). The final series concluded with the 3:2 score in favor of Team Secret.

ESL One Birmingham 2019 was held on May 28th – June 2nd in Birmingham, UK. The event is not part of Dota Pro Circuit.
