Virtus.pro and Mineski qualified to Dota Pit League S6

The closed regional qualifiers for AMD SAPPHIRE Dota PIT League have already concluded in two regions: Southeast Asia and CIS. Mineski and Virtus.pro are the first two teams to qualify for the LAN-finals of the minor tournament in Croatia.

The organizers of the tournament invited two team – Team Liquid and Newbee. The other 6 slots are determined by regional qualifiers. While the most regions are only about to start the competition, the CIS and SEA closed qualifiers have already concluded.

The SEA region is recently dominated by the new Mineski roster formed around Mushi, who is well-known for his captain skills since his days in Orange Esports. This qualifier was no exception: in the Upper bracket Mineski defeated TNC Pro Team (2-0) and Fnatic (2-0). In the Grand Finals they faced Fnatic again. This time the team led by EternaLEnVy managed to show resistance – all 5 matches were played, but Mineski were victorious and won the series with the score of 3-2.

Situation in the CIS regions is similar: undoubtedly, Virtus.pro is the strongest team in the region. They proved it once again and finished the qualifier without losing a single game: in the semi-finals they defeated Team Spirit (2-0) and then they outplayed Team Empire twice: in the Winner’s finals (2-0) and in the Grand Finals (3-0).

LAN-finals of Dota PIT League Season 6 will be held in Split, Croatia, on November 2-5. The prize pool is set at $300,000.
