WSOE to Host a $100,000 Fortnite Event
The third event in the WSOE series will feature a $100,000 Fortnite competition. It will take place on December 30th at OGN Studios in Manhattan Beach, California.
The participation list will include 50 professional players and 50 players from qualifiers. The pro players have received direct invites from the organizers, among them are representatives of major esports teams such as OpTic Gaming, Cloud9, TSM, NRG Esports, G2 Esports and others. The open qualifiers will be played on December 27th. A popular broadcaster Richard Lewis will host the event.
The arena the tournament will take place at was specifically build for Battle Royale competitions. Later next year it will also host the official North American PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds league National PUBG League.
World Showdown of Esports (WSOE) is owned by ESP Gaming, a company created this July that organizes premier multi genre esports tournament series. Their first event was PUBG Pan-Continental held on July 14-15. Later they also hosted WSOE 1: The Dota 2 Showdown on October 14-15 and WSOE 2: The Hearthstone Showdown on December 19-21. Each tournament featured a $100,000 prize pool.
