The Brazilian squad FURIA Esports has managed to win their second event in a row – after placing first at ESL Pro League 12: North America in late September, this weekend the team also emerged victorious at Intel Extreme Masters XV – New York Online. In the grand finals of the last RMR-event in the region they outplayed 100 Thieves, claiming $25,000 in prize money and 2500 RMR points, as well as qualifying for IEM XV – Global Challenge.
FURIA Esports finished the group stage at the third place with the 4-1 score, losing only to Whalers (0-2). Later in the playoffs stage they outplayed Team Liquid (2-1), Evil Geniuses (2-0), and 100 Thieves (3-1). In the 3rd place match, Evil Geniuses defeated Team One (2-0).

This victory allowed FURIA Esports to move from the 6th to the 3rd position in the North American Regional Major Rankings – the only teams ahead are 100 Thieves with 5669 points and Evil Geniuses with 5738 points.
